Our Process

  • Booking deadline is March 15.

Once you’ve officially booked and paid your service fee, you’ll receive access to a secure client portal. It keeps everything organized, reduces back-and-forth, and lets us give you clean status updates without hunting through email threads.

All documents must be uploaded by April 1.

You’ll also get a tailored request list based on your situation, plus a simple “what’s missing and what’s next” view so you are never guessing.

  • Once we have complete documents and you respond to any open questions, we move efficiently. We also communicate timeline expectations clearly so you are not left in the dark waiting for a surprise.

  • You review the final return in the portal, we walk through any key items that matter, then you e-sign. Nothing gets filed without your approval.

Before signing, please review the return for accuracy. Focus on names, Social Security numbers, address, filing status, dependent info, and bank routing/account numbers for direct deposit. Also scan the income totals (W-2s, 1099s) and the big deduction/credit items we discussed. Once you approve and sign, the return is considered final.

  • A separate DocuSign email will be sent to each person who needs to sign the return. For a joint return, that means two emails and two signatures. Please download and save a copy of the signed return from your DocuSign email for your records. Once you sign, no further changes will be made, so that email is the easiest way to keep an archive copy.

After you sign, I electronically file (e-file) your return through the IRS and state e-file systems. Within 24 to 72 hours, the IRS usually sends back one of two responses:

Accepted: The IRS has received your return and passed the basic checks. This is not an audit stamp, it just means it is in their system. I will let you know once it is accepted.

Rejected: Something did not match their records (common causes: a typo in an SSN, a dependent already claimed, prior-year AGI mismatch, or an identity protection PIN issue). Rejections are common and usually quick to fix. I will correct what is needed and re-file.

    Important Notes:

Acceptance is confirmation of receipt, not confirmation that every number is “approved.”

Refund timing (if you are due one) starts after acceptance. The IRS often issues refunds within about 21 days, but it can be longer depending on credits, identity checks, or IRS backlogs.

If you owe, e-file does not automatically pay the tax unless you scheduled an electronic withdrawal. Payment is separate, and we will confirm the payment method and date.

Precision + Trust

Precision is the foundation of meaningful financial results. Trust is the currency that endures.

Thrive Tax was designed for those who expect both.

Our journey began in the field—auditing New Hampshire businesses firsthand, uncovering the nuances that truly matter. Backed by six years of military service, we bring a rare discipline and commitment to accountability.

The ethos remains unchanged: deliver accuracy, take ownership, and pursue every detail with confidence.

For five years, we have guided individuals, families, and business owners through tax season with unmatched clarity and foresight. Each engagement is handled with discretion, careful planning, and a bespoke strategy. When complexity arises, we simplify. When urgency strikes, we act decisively. Clients are never met with uncertainty or confusion—only direct, measured expertise.

Thrive Tax isn’t defined by volume, nor by hurried transactions. Each client relationship is given time, focus, and the full advantage of seasoned counsel. We believe our clients deserve an experience built on thoughtful engagement, not rushed paperwork.

Clear + Transparent

Our fee structure is crafted for fairness and transparency—predicated on scope and sophistication, never on how quickly a return can be filled out.

We don’t bill by the hour or surprise with hidden costs.

Our goal: Turnkey tax solutions, attentive communication, and a process that inspires true peace of mind from the first conversation to completion.

Flat, upfront pricing. Final quote confirmed before we begin. No hourly billing.

Our services encompass a wide range of tax preparation solutions, including accurate filing, refund maximization, and year-round support. We are dedicated to ensuring financial integrity and compliance for all our clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • FIll out our contact form or book a 15 minute call. We’ll confirm fit and scope fast, then you’ll get portal access, a clear checklist, and a simple next-steps plan.

  • To deliver a great product and avoid last-minute chaos, Thrive Tax requires new and returning clients to start by March 15 for an on-time filing track. “Start” means onboarding is complete and documents are substantially in. After March 15, we can still help, but you should expect an extension and a clean, organized finish after the deadline.

  • Yes. Thrive Tax is built for year-round support, not just filing season. During peak season, capacity is limited, and we prioritize clients who start early so communication stays crisp and the work stays excellent.

  • Individuals, families, and small business owners who want a high-touch CPA experience: proactive updates, plain-English answers, and no “hope it works out” tax prep.

  • Through the secure client portal. It keeps everything organized, reduces back-and-forth, and lets us give you clean status updates without hunting through email threads.

  • Yes. You’ll get a tailored request list based on your situation, plus a simple “what’s missing and what’s next” view so you are never guessing.

  • Upload what you have anyway. We’ll quickly tell you what’s missing, what substitutes work (and what does not), and the fastest path to get to “ready to file.”

  • Once we have complete documents and you respond to any open questions, we move efficiently. We also communicate timeline expectations clearly so you are not left in the dark waiting for a surprise.

  • Yes. If we are not ready, we file an extension and set a plan to finish. An extension extends filing, not payment, so we will discuss estimates if needed.

  • You review the final return in the portal, we walk through any key items that matter, then you e-sign. Nothing gets filed without your approval.

  • Flat, upfront pricing with the final quote confirmed before we begin. No hourly billing surprises. You will know the number before we do the work.

  • Essential is for simple filing. Enhanced covers moderate complexity and adds more guidance. Premier is for higher complexity and includes more proactive planning touchpoints. Regardless of tier, you get clear communication, a clean process, and organized deliverables.

  • Yes. We handle business returns and keep the process structured with clear requests, clear deadlines, and clear next steps so you are not juggling loose ends.

  • Yes. Thrive Tax uses a secure portal for documents and signatures. Email is not a secure way to send tax documents, so we keep sensitive items in the portal.

  • Use portal messaging for anything tied to your return. It keeps communication organized and lets us respond faster with the right context. You can expect straightforward answers and clear next steps.

  • Complete uploads plus quick answers move you to the front of the line. Missing forms and unclear totals are the biggest cause of delays, so we stay proactive about what we need and why.

  • Yes. Upload the notice or summarize the issue, and we’ll map a realistic plan. No shame, no chaos. Just clean steps, clear communication, and steady progress.
